Technical engineer - compound dept.

- Working location: Viet Nam (South/ Central/ North).

- Working time: Mon - Fri (8h30 - 17h30).

- Report to: Sr. Compound Engineer & Global Compound Director.

- Responsible to support and provide technical direction for compounding and injection operations in multiple supplier plants.

- Monitor supplier work processes to ensure safety, quality and cost-effectiveness in compounding and injection.

- Work closely with the QA Department in investigating process errors or complains and implementing appropriate corrective actions as needed.

- Interacting directly in plant manufacturing environment with regular and random audit both in laboratory and injection floor.

- Ensures business relationships between the company and their factories and suppliers are maintained at the highest level of trust and integrity.

- Leads the effort to ensure that company best practices are carried out when establishing best practices for compound related matters.

- Supports functional departments such as operation, costing, social compliance, RS testing for compounding and injections related matters.

- Works with the product creation, development and manufacturing teams to develop, transfer or improve compounds, technologies or best practice for new styles and processes.

- Support partner factories in injection-related projects.

- Drive compound formulas and processes fine-tuning and modification as in company compound strategies.

- Make compound audit and follow up an improvement plan.

- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry/ polymer or material science or material engineering.

- At least 2 years of working experience within the footwear industry in testing/ compounding/ injection area.

- Knowledge.

- Understanding of plastic injection, preferably footwear and EVA foam related, understanding of raw materials, testing, and processing.

- Can demonstrate wide knowledge of plastics materials and chemicals, Eva, rubber, TPU manufacturing, and compounding process.

- Strong analytical skills for problem-solving and the creation, planning, and execution of project work.

- Proficient in English communication.

- Knowledge of Microsoft office software package.

- Accurate, reliable, methodic.

- Available to travel abroad up to 12 weeks per year.
