EMPLOYMENT HISTORY:

1.      From Mar 2015 up to Jun 2018: Modec Offshore Production Systems Pte Ltd (Brazil)

Duties: QA/QC & Supervisor

*    Responsible for monitoring/supervising/inspection/audit the numerous contractors (Wood Group, Plimsoll, Step, Harris Pye, Tech Ocean, Hydra Alphard, Vulcano, Belov, Enaval,...) and many projects, in relation to Piping, Structural and Vessel... Attend inspection at vendor’s site. Review vendor’s data, in-process reports, Material, Welding, NDT, WPS, WQT, painting. Participate in several inspections at the site including safety walk. Attend regular meetings, audit etc.

*    Primary duties were to carry-out inspections with contractors per ITP such as review drawings, procedures, material inspection and material verifications, fit-up and dimensional inspection, welding surveillance, check & review NDT/PWHT results, witness hydro test, check blasting/ painting and review/appraise final Manufacturer Data Report (MDR). Liaise/interface production/offshore on each schedule. Coordinate with logistics on the free issued material, delivery of fabricated and prefabricated spools at MODEC supply base yard.

*    Jobs also include QA/QC inspections and documentation. Liaise with Engineering, Procurement, Operations. Ensure compliance with project specifications, CA/Third Party requirement and safety policies.

*    Provides technical support and advise Project Engineering on QA/QC and test practice in fabrication matters associated with design, maintenance, and inspection of new and existing FPSO facilities and generally support the maintenance department.

*    Coordinate and meeting with relevant parties.

*    Review Contractor’s Personnel Certification, Inspection Tools & Equipment Fitness/ Calibration.

*    Supervise Contractor’s inspection personnel on implementation of relevant construction drawings, specifications, codes and standard including MODEC Specifications.

*    Ensure that inspection request for verification is attended and implemented as per relevant project procedure or company procedural constructions.

*    Supervise Contractor’s inspectors in generating punch-list on outstanding works / re-works and review Material and weld history sheet and Nondestructive Examination reports as required

*    Assess/evaluate the workmanship and quality of production/contractor giving recommendations for improvement where required.

*    Ensure that all welded joint Nondestructive Examination clear and reports available

*    Review of Project Data Books and Manufacturers Data records.

Duties:                        QA/QC engineer

*    To ensure that all customer requirements good processes, inspection and control plans are developed and carried out to have products meeting customer requirement right at first article stage.

*    Prepare qualified WPS, welders, NDT technicians, welding consumables, and relevant equipment certificates to submit to Client, Third Party for witness/approval.

*    To monitor and witness all works (material cutting, fit-up, welding, visual, dimension…), must be sure all works meet Client’s requirements and standards.

*    To review/approval completed work pack document (test packs, NDT reports,…)   and responsibility submit to Client for review/approval.

*    To inform and coordinate with Third Party to monitor and witness all activities during fabrication time (material cutting, fit-up, welding, visual, dimension control, hydrostatic test, leakage test…), must be sure all works meet Client’s requirements and standards.

*    Optimize and maintain Inspection plan including inspection station, method, frequency, personal... ensure effective inspection plan with less resource is adapted to each product and meeting customer requirement.

*    Manage and authorize the conformity and concession products to be released and shipped

*    Administers customer quality issues, drives this quality process with the production team to handle customer quality issue and respond to the customer including corrective & preventive action.

*    Responsible for handle all customer request requirement and be responsible for all customer requirements, monitor information relating to customer perception as to whether the product has met customer requirements and gain customer satisfaction.

*    To coordinate with Logistic Team to ensure accurate quantity and the right quality of goods receiving in workshop/warehouse and also good delivering to Offshore/Onshore Project Sites.

• Make sure all activities of inspection, receiving and delivering are in accordance with procedures (quality, HSE, fabrication,…) and management system as well as to meet the established targets and standard.

3.       SAMPYUNG  & HOA HIEP  CO.,LTD 

3.1 Project     Van Phong Terminal

Period              Mar 2011 to Aug  2011

Duties:              QA/QC manager

*    Reported directly to Project Manager all the QA/QC works for the project.

*    Prepared all the test package of the project and submit to the client to review & approve.

*    Planned & carried out Welder Qualification Test for structural, tank and piping works as specification/standard of the project applied.

*    Reviewed documents fit up, visual report, NDT report, hydro test pack, painting report before submitting to client

*    Coordinated to the client for QA/QC work.

*    Coordinated to NDT subcontractor for all the NDT works.

*    Organized and managed QC team and NDT sub contractor.

*    Random checked for materials & welding, hydrostatic test activities at the site:.

*    Random checked for the painting activities.

3.2 Project:            Nhon Trach 2 Combined Cycle Power Plant 

Period                May 2010 to Mar 2011

Duties:              Planning staff

*    Daily meeting with project management teams, construction teams for daily activity & the schedule for next day.

*    Monitor installation, welding, hydro test, painting & insulation the HRSG at the project.

*    Make the daily report, monthly report, weekly schedule, monthly progress schedule, monthly progress payment to get money from the main contractor.

*    Check additional work & make payment report.

*    Supervise the subcontractor: NDT, Painting, Scaffolding, Insulation work

*    Prepare drawing & specification for all department & outside, update new reversion drawing for the project.

*    Verified the punch list before the hydro test and closed punch list after painting.

*    Contact & cooperated with CISR2 to make boiler inspection & get registration

4.       BUM HAN VIET NAM CO.,LTD 

4.1 Project              Doosan boiler factory, J&V workshop

         Period                Jun 2008 to July 2009:

Duties:               Piping construction supervisor & QA/QC inspector

*    Weekly meeting with project management team to weekly plan fabrication and installation.

*    Prepare shop drawing construction and update new revision of drawing for fabrication team and make as-built drawing

*    Prepares the plan & method for fabrication and installation of piping and structural.

*    Preparing equipment and test package for air test & hydrostatic test

*    Verifying and control all fabrication & installation like material, fit up, welding, NDT, testing and painting

*    Contact with NDT contractor to performed of NDT work.

*     Working with CISR2 company to make piping inspection & get certificate

*    Ensure fabrication & installation compliance with all relevant quality, health, safety and environmental management procedures, standards, controls and systems across structural / piping/welding activities to guarantee compliance with statutory and classification requirements, delivery of high-quality structural/piping/ welding work and a responsible environmental attitude. 

5.      NACAP ASIA PACIFIC SDN BHD CO.,LTD

         Period             Oct 2007 to May 2008

Duties:                  QC inspector

 *   Responsible to ensure structural/piping installation activities at Phu My Gas station and Nhon Trach Gas station carries out as per approved construction drawing, Project specification, and Codes.

*     Perform inspection during installation activities as in Inspection and Test Plans from Fit up, monitoring welding, Visual inspection, verified punch list, witness hydrostatic test, verified surface before painting after painting.

*    Codes used on the project included API, AWS D1.1, ASME VIII Div. 1, SME IX, ASME B31.1, B31.3 & B31.8

 6.      HASUNG VIET NAM CO.,LTD 

         Period             July 2006 to Sep 2007

Duties:              Mechanical engineer

*    Monitor all the fabrication in the workshop of Structural Steel, Racks, Associated Pipe Work, Cable Trays, Ladder Rack and material requisition based on project specification. Monitor all piping and structural welding base on Welding Procedure Specifications. Responsible for the modification of piping and structural steel when clashes occurred. Make material take off-for piping Support and detailing prior to fabrication.
