Lotus Chemical Technology Ltd. (LCT) has started its activities in Vietnam since December 1989 with the aims to act as technological bridge between Western Europe/ Germany and Vietnam in the field of Plastic Processing Technology.
The office in Vietnam has been started in December 1994 to apply for the company license and to prepare for further engagements in Vietnam. Based on the small market size in Vietnam at that time, LCT has directed its activities in 3 main fields:
• Trading of machineries and Technology transfer to support Vietnam gaining faster its efficiency in developing the country, particularly in the plastics, packaging and construction industry.
• Production of plastics packaging and plastics construction materials for export as well as domestic market. This step is specially important and can be seen as a base for building up personal for further sustainable developments of LCT, giving LCT the chance to grow faster to catch up other companies acting in the domestic market, “feeding” the employees in the trading part, when they do not have enough sales, preparing for the infiltration in the Vietnamese market.
•Production of PVC compound in Hai Phong/ North Vietnam to replace the imported products at that time, and taking Hai Phong as a possible base for activities in North Vietnam as well as possible location for Export to China in the future.
